Our neighbors hatch a few chicks every year. We admire their cuteness, and talk in a high-pitched squealy voice around them. When the novelty wears off (for them, not us), the chicks are sent to the grandparents' house to lay eggs and probably be turned into a casserole.

Oh these pictures are cute. Even though I can almost see the dread in that chick's eyes in Layla's hands. I hope you had chicken nuggets for dinner and a nice, long discussion after this :)
